Tourism Attractiveness
Environmental education activities and leisure activities addressed to both families and schools are regularly carried out in our youth hostel throughout the year. Period : Easter hollidays 2014 Number of visitors : 12 staying 4 days/ 3 nights The tourist activities carried out for this group were mainly focused on thermal services, that is baths in open ponds and the patrimonial values of Ourense city as far as the roman legacy of thermalism is concerned. The Ribeira Sacra and the cultural and historic patrimony was as well on the programme. Short local routes, local traditional food and informal chats with local people completed the stay.
How we promote cooperatives’ values and culture
In the last 9 years we have been promoting cooperative values among primary school students. We have been carrying this promotional activity in cooperation with the regional government. At a private level we receive scholars and teachers in our site to develop different activities concerning environment and spare time; all activities are presented on a cooperative basis. On the other hand, we have recently established in our premises a cooperative information point to get closer to locals.
