“FLORENCE AND TUSCANY TOURS” is an incoming tour operator with its headquarters in the historical center of Florence; it is also a cooperative of licensed tour guides. We organize regular guided tours in the historical center of the city and in the major museums of Florence. In addition to having an extensive knowledge of the region, we organize “tailor-made” tours in the true sense of the word. The coop is made up of 3 partners and 7 employees.
Tourism Attractiveness
Florence and Tuscany Tours by Florapromotuscany Soc. Coop. is dedicated to the organization and creation of historical-artistic and food and wine tours, aimed at underlining the wealth and beauty of Florence and Tuscany. To this end, we have included new itineraries in this year’s catalogue: Vasari Corridor; Boat trip on the River Arno; the Gourmet's tour, dedicated to the discovery of new typically Tuscan specialties; Medici Villas; Palazzo Pitti and Tours for children and families. Since 2006, we have also been organizing regular daily tours in all the major foreign languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Russian, Japanese) with Guaranteed Start and single language tours. This means that tours will be held even with one participant only and in the language required upon booking. This formula, through careful choice of our collaborators, guarantees the maximum level of quality for this type of tour and ensures maximum customer satisfaction. Thanks to the quality of our tours, which have received numerous positive reviews from our clients, the number of visitors has been growing in the last years: from roughly 10,600 in 2010 to roughly 28,000 in 2014 (and this relates to the Florentine Museums only).
How we promote cooperatives’ values and culture
Florence and Tuscany Tours by Florapromotuscany Soc. Coop. develops its activities in a context, both Tuscan and Florentine, which, given the role this territory has had throughout history, has contributed like few others in Europe and the world to the spread of the foundations of the western culture and, in particular, the world of cooperation: human rights (political, civil and social) and active democracy. When our guides recount the history of Florence and show the city to visitors, we are transmitting those ancient values, intrinsically linked to our society.
